SYNOPSiS

A pizza robot gets frightend by a can of pineapple.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Together with Nora and Hugo I co-directed this short comissioned ident for adultswim. Nora animated the robot and did the sound design, Hugo worked on the visual development and painted the backgrounds and I was responsible for FX animation, compositing and setting up our 2D pipeline within Blender, using beloved Grease Pencil for almost everything.

Storyboard

We worked closely together on the storyboard and I refined our final version in Blender ready for production (exchanging the rough drawings with animation and assets). On the left some explorations which we didn't use and on the right the final board.

MAKiNG OF

The breakdown below (left) shows most of my work from storyboard to final picture (with assets of the hills and the house painted by Hugo). I animated the FX directly in the 3D scene using also a 3D camera.
